PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL-
This flu season has only
seen sporadic cases here in
the county and the Palm
Beach County Health
Department wants to help
people keep those numbers
low by offering its
remaining doses of the flu
vaccine free at its clinics.
“Well over 100,000 people
have been immunized against
the flu this season” said
Health Department Director
Jean Malecki “I would like
to think that it has had a
positive effect on the
number of reported cases
this year.” Malecki added
that over 9,000 students
also participated in the
FluMist vaccine program in
the schools.
Persons interested in
receiving a flu shot can
call and make an appointment
at any of the Health
Department Clinics.
